TIPS FOR USING THE 3D MODEL OF THE NOVARA
1) Scroll down to “The Frigate Novara 3D” section
2) Use the buttons below the model display area to bring one of your choice of the 5+1 ship layers (3 decks and 2 holds + a full sail view) into the foreground: when clicked, the button turns from white to black
3) In the screen for each selected layer, you can click on the tab of the legenda on the right; the legenda a numbered list of parts of the ship of particular interest; by clicking on each item, the corresponding part of the model is highlighted. The description of the individual parts of the ship can also be accessed by clicking on the numbered placeholders placed on the model
4) To return to the initial view, press the last selection key again, which changes from dark back to white
5) To highlight each individual layer, isolating it from the rest of the model, tick the 'single layer' box to the right of the menu bar
6) In each view, the mouse wheel functions as zoom in (forwards) and zoom out (backwards)
7) In each view, both of the whole model and of the individual layers, and at each zoom level, hold down the left mouse button and move the mouse wheel to obtain 360° orbital rotation of the model in 3D
8) In each view and at each zoom level, if you hold down the right mouse button and operate the mouse, you can move the model along the up/down and right/left axes without changing the viewing angle
9) You can freely explore the model in any view by using the mouse buttons to change the zoom, choose perspectives and enter individual parts of the model
10) Enjoy!
